Preview Days

Experience an inside look at 海角社区. The most inclusive visit option, Preview Days will show you what makes Union such a great place. Discover what Union's academic programs have to offer, meet with faculty, engage with your future peers and see what the city of Lincoln has to offer. Preview Days also gives you the opportunity to hear about our financial aid and admissions processes and explore opportunities that go beyond the classroom.

Bring all of your questions and be ready for a fun-filled, action-packed event on our campus!

  • April 19-21, 2026 - (registration closes April 12)

In-person Individual Visit

With an individual visit, you will have opportunities to meet with admissions and scholarship advisors, talk one-on-one with professors, and explore your strengths to help you find the right major. Plus, a campus tour and a chance to see Lincoln will introduce you to your future home away from home.

Live Virtual Visit

It's the next best thing to the real thing. Our virtual visits via ZOOM include meeting a future professor, talking about the future with your life coach (freshman only), and discussing what scholarships you are eligible for!

What to expect on your campus visit

Once you arrive on campus, a current student tour guide will take you on an hour walking tour of campus. Comfy shoes are encouraged! Please also check the weather for Lincoln, Nebraska, ahead of your visit. While you are on campus, we will schedule appointments for you to meet future professors, talk about the future with your life coach (freshman only), and find out what scholarships you are eligible for.

When are tours?

Virtual and in-person visits are available most Mondays-Thursdays between 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. We do not offer visits on the weekends and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Flying to Lincoln, Nebraska

If you fly into the Lincoln (LNK) or Omaha (OMA) airport, we provide complimentary pick-up/drop off to the airport. Just make sure to email (visit@uau.edu) us your itinerary and preferred cell phone number to schedule your pick up at your earliest convenience鈥攁t least five days before departure. 

Lodging and Food on Campus

We provide for up to three days on-campus meals and two nights lodging for a prospective student and parent. If you would like to stay longer, arrangements can be made at your own expense.

Apply ahead of time

To get the most out of your visit, we encourage you to complete our FREE application at . Don鈥檛 forget to self-report your GPA and test scores to receive the most accurate information about what scholarships you may be eligible for!

Plus you'll be eligible for travel reimbursement.

Reimbursement

We want to meet you so much, we'll pay up to $250 dollars for your travel and your parents travel expenses. Once you're on campus, you'll have three days and two nights of food and lodging鈦犫攁ll free!

Prospective master's students aren鈥檛 eligible for a free visit, but you're always welcome to come to campus. Call 402.486.2527 or .
