Canva can be a great tool for small businesses, but with so much you can do, it can be overwhelming. In this course users will learn how to navegate the Canva interface on either a tablet or computer and create the following designs: event poster and multiple forms of social media content. We will also cover basic design principles so your designs will look like a pro made them. Bring a phone, tablet, or laptop with access to Canva. A laptop is preferred. Suitable for ages 14 and up.

Physical Agent Modalities (PAMS) Refresher Course

This refresher course is designed for occupational therapy practitioners seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in the application of superficial and deep thermal modalities. Through a combination of engaging lectures and hands-on lab experiences, participants will review the principles, indications, contraindications, and clinical reasoning for the use of thermal agents in practice. Attendees will have the opportunity to refine their competency in administering modalities such as paraffin, fluidotherapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ethical considerations in PAMs application. By the end of the course, participants will demonstrate improved proficiency in selecting and applying thermal agents effectively to support therapeutic interventions.Attendees will have the opportunity to refine their competency in administering modalities such as paraffin, fluidotherapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and ethical considerations in PAMs application. By the end of the course, participants will demonstrate improved proficiency in selecting and applying thermal agents effectively to support therapeutic interventions. Course can qualify for 6 hours of CE for OTA or OTs.
Participants should wear comfortable attire suitable for hands-on lab activities. Short-sleeved shirts or layers are recommended to allow easy access to the upper extremities for practical applications. Bring a notebook and pen or computer for taking notes during the lecture.

Caring for Caregivers

This course is designed for occupational therapy practitioners and can qualify for 1 hour of CE. In this course, participants will explore effective strategies for caregiver training across diverse settings and populations, from pediatrics to older adults. Training approaches will be discussed for both situations with and without clients present. Approaches for supporting caregiver wellness including reducing stress, preventing burnout, and supporting self-care will be addressed. Additionally, participants will gain practical knowledge on how to implement caregiver training CPT codes for reimbursement within their specific practice setting. In order to qualify you must have OTR or COTA.
